Welcome to Jammie Dodgers

Hello I’m Jo-Ann Wilson and I run “Jammie Dodgers” Childminding group from my home in Forest Town. Ideally located close to beautiful countryside, we have easy access to shops, parks, libraries, museums and schools.

We are also on a main bus route from nearby Mansfield. We have a large all weather garden with a fun playroom for your child to explore.

I share my home with my fiancée Shane Overton who is registered as one of my assistant and is DBS (CRB) checked. We have four sons Jackson, Joshua, Joseph and Jenson that also live with us. We also have the help of Tina Horner who is my second assistant; she also has her DBS (CRB).

I am registered with ofsted as a childminder on the early years, the compulsory part of the childcare register and the voluntary part of the childcare register.
I have recently done my CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the children and young people’s workforce (QCF) myself and my assistants all hold a current paediatric first aid certificate.

Shane and I hold a full UK driving licence with Insurance for school runs etc. We also have Public Liability Insurance in place for our setting.

Our home is a friendly, non-smoking environment where your child will feel safe and secure in a warm family atmosphere, they will have fun playing and forming new friendships with other children, with an emphasis on providing a warm, loving family environment, your child’s day will always be structured to meet their individual needs.

We can accommodate all babies and children including those with special needs.

We know leaving your child for the first time can be a stressful time for you but you can be happy in the knowledge that you’re leaving your child in a secure, well managed but homely environment. Settling in is important for everyone involved and we encourage any parent to spend some time with us prior to leaving a child in our setting.

Your more than welcome to visit with or without your child, you’ll be able to see how we operate and ask questions about our setting and our childcare policies.
